September, 2008: The Chico Project is proud to announce a new collaboration with the Indian Rivers Humane Society of King William County, Virginia. Over the next few months, the plan is to place 14 kits, spread across three counties, 3 of which are already being placed. |

June, 2008: Every Medic Unit in Alexandria, VA has now been outfitted with a full set of masks. Thanks to our new friends at the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria and the donors they recruited to the task, the hand-off took place just this afternoon. |

April, 2008: We have just teamed up with Animal Welfare League of Alexandria and a number of generous, local donors to provide mask kits to all eight Alexandria fire stations. We are in the process of setting up the deliveries, and will post pictures as soon as we have them. |

August, 2007: Following a brief hiatus, we can
now finally post the pictures from some recent deliveries. Riverdale and Brentwood both received two
kits while Bunker Hill got four.

The week of June 1st, 2007, the Chico Project of Greater
Washington will be delivering an allotment of eight kits generously
donated by the Hyattsville Dog Trainers' Club. Pictures will be
provided as the deliveries are made. Stay tuned for further details.

The week of May 3th, 2007, the Chico Project of Greater
Washington handed over two kits - the Smokey and Sandy boxes - to the College Park Volunteers,
who were very enthusiastic to get hold of their new equipment. Pictures

The week of April 27, 2007, the Chico Project of Greater
Washington took part in the Wheaton Pet Walk, sponsored every year by
the Montgomery County Humane
Society. Thanks to the WALK organizers for asking us to
participate, and to everyone who stopped by our booth to say hello.

The week of March 30th, 2007, the Chico Project teamed up with
the Churchtown Fire Company No. 1 in Hudson, New York to help get
a mask donation program up and running there. Good luck, guys !

The week of March 9th, 2007, the Chico Project of Greater
Washington provided two sets of masks - the "Abe" and "Bamboo" boxes -
to the heroes at the Branchville Volunteers in College Park, Maryland.
These two particular kits were funded in part by a pair of generous
Hyattsville residents who wanted make a gift of their own.
The group would like to send out a big thank you to WUSA 9 News for the fabulous coverage of the event.

The week of February 22nd, 2007, the Chico Project outfitted
another group of heroes, the fire departments in Venice, Florida. The "Grace" and "Casey" mask kits
were handed over to the city in a short
ceremony Thursday morning. We'd also like to say thank you to the
Gazette for helping get out the word about our work.
