On Thursday, February 22nd, local representatives of the Chico Project of Greater Washington met with the Venice Municipal Fire Department to deliver two sets of masks. The kits will be kept in the cars driven by both fire chiefs, one of whom responds to every call in the area.

While Venice is by no means a DC suburb, it does happen to be the hometown of one of our co-founders. Home to the Venice Gondolier Newspaper and a really fun dog beach (that is a favorite of our team Mascot, Miss Bamboo), the city is also home to Mary and Mike Horlick, seen above presenting Deputy Chief Steve Kona with the life saving masks.

The Chico Project is currently seeking volunteers in Maryland, Virginia and DC.

The Chico Project is currently in need of a logo. If you are a graphic designer and would like to donate your talents, please get in touch.

Fire departments interested in receiving masks should contact the group. All inquiries are welcome.

Your animal related advertisement could be in the space. Please contact the group if interested to discuss how to get started.
